Bossa Concept, a multi-brand boutique for Brazilian luxury fashions, opens next week in Palau Sunset Harbour. Founders and former models Alessandra Cavalcante and Flavia Schwenk named the store after Brazil’s signature spirit that permeates every aspect of its daily life, from soulful samba music to locals’ trendy tropical style. They represent approximately two dozen brands including Isabel Capeto from a seasoned designer whose handmade and hand-dyed pieces are shown in Paris and carried by respected retailers such as Barneys and Colette; and WaiWai Rio’s playful, multimedia bags of rattan, vibrant acrylic panels and silk accents. Following a private grand opening party on November 17, shoppers are invited to browse the magical assortment for Art Basel party attire and more the next day. An in-house, eponymous label premieres next year.

Fort Lauderdale is heading into the holiday season with a healthy start. The Ritz-Carlton’s Burlock Coast restaurant celebrates its one-year anniversary by launching a monthly farmer’s market on Saturday. Browse produce from vendors like Three Sisters Farm, Hammock Hollow, where chef sources his greens, and Harpke Family Farm, a Dania Beach operation for micro-greens. Do some holiday shopping with KeezBeez raw honey and SMAKS teas (Bermuda Pink, Tobago Afternoon) from the Caribbean. Distilled nearby, Fwaygo handcrafted and flavored rums also make great gifts. Miami’s mixology scene has made national news, and now a whole new round of cocktail lounges is set to open throughout the holidays. First up is South Pointe Tavern, a complementary addition to South of Fifth’s upscale eateries. Familiar with the enclave’s discerning clientele, its partners plan to offer the largest tequila and whiskey selection on the beach as well as classic and exclusive drink recipes by Distilled Hospitality’s Robert Ferrara. Some concoctions infuse wellness elements, such as açai in the Lustau sherry-based South of Fifth Smash, or fresh-pressed kale and cucumber juices and matcha tea mixed with aged Avuá Amburana Cachaça for the Máquina Verde. While they wait, guests can peruse interactive iPads to learn about the world of wine and spirits. Bar bites complete the night out.
